Below are our recent landscape gardening projects completed in Bournemouth, Poole and the surrounding areas:

Design & Build - Highcliffe

This family had a corner of their garden which was totally unusable and not very attractive - a sloping mound of earth which was mainly just retaining the ground of the neighbour's gardens.

​

They wanted to create a relaxing and entertaining area which included a hot tub. This involved a fairly extensive dig-out to remove the mound, lay new concrete footings and build a substantial concrete block wall which was rendered and incorporated a planting bed and lighting.

​

We screened the neighbouring fences with horizontal slats to give a contemporary feel and then built a Millboard composite deck in front. Within the deck design is a concrete pad for the hot tub so that it is part-sunk with access panels in the decking and integrated lighting.

​

The project was completed on time and on budget.

Design & Build - Christchurch

 

This property was previously a creche and the garden was all hardstanding with some block paving, some paving slabs and some concrete.

​

The brief was to design and build a child friendly garden for a young family to incorporate entertaining and play spaces.

​

We laid a generous new patio out from the doors from 2 sides of the house using sawn sandstone for a smooth finish.

​

We enlarged the play area and bordered it with round logs, built new sleeper beds and laid a new lawn.

​

After completing the garden, we also built a bespoke storage unit to the side of the house to fit in and make full use of an awkward space.

​

The project was completed on time and on budget.

 

 

 

 

Design & Build - New Milton

 

We were originally employed to re-landscape the back garden but it escalated into additional work with the front garden/drive.

​

The first job was to install the horizontal slatted fencing along all boundaries which then ran all the way to the front and to the entrance. This instantly transformed the space to give it a more contemporary feel and complement the house.

​

We then excavated all areas as necessary, enlarged the patio area and built new block raised beds to border the garden, which were then rendered.

​

A new lawn was surrounded by block paviours to create a mowing strip and finish the space off.

​

At the front, we reduced the size of the drive, which was the size of a small car park and introduced a new lawn, bordered with paviours and planting to soften the front of the property.

Design & Build - New Milton

 

I designed and we built this garden for my parents, arguably the most demanding clients, and they were very happy with the results which was a bonus!

​

They wanted a contemporary, 'zen', low maintenance garden. They didn't want the upkeep of real grass and they aren't big fans of artificial grass. As a fully paved garden would be too stark, we chose to include water features which would not only break-up the paving, but also create a tranquil atmosphere. 

We also built a bespoke bbq area and bench seating.

The planting was fairly minimal and finished the overall look well, softening the hard landscaping.

My parents now get to enjoy a peaceful garden, I get to go round for bbq's and my son gets to fish for plastic ducks in the water feature.

​

Design & Build - Mudeford

 

A close-to-home project, this garden re-landscape was for my Mother-in-Law - No pressure!

​

She specified that she wanted a low maintenance garden that she could just relax and entertain in and enjoy, without having loads of work to do to keep it looking nice. We began by cutting back and removing all existing greenery as it had been neglected and was too invasive. We then created a larger patio using Indian Sandstone, built raised beds with oak sleepers to house manageable planting and laid artificial grass to finish it off.

The result is a very smart, low-maintenance garden space in which to relax.

​

The project was completed on time and on budget.

Fencing & Gates - Hengistbury Head

 

Unfortunately I forgot to take a photo of this job before we took out the mountain of conifers. They were dominating the perimeter boundaries approx. 8' height and depth. Once out, the garden had grown by about 30%.

​

We then installed new horizontal slatted fencing around the property including a bespoke built slatted gate and new Iroko hardwood entrance gates.

​

The work has not only increased the size of the garden but also given the property a more contemporary appearance.

 

 

 

 

Design & Build - Mudeford

 

This is a really nice property with the garden leading on to the river. There were basically 2 sections to this garden: The upper level with a porcelain patio, artificial grass and an oak sleeper platform and bed; the lower level being a 'jetty' onto the river using Millboard composite deck boards.

​

The oak sleepers will silver naturally to really compliment the paving and the decking.

​

We also installed some horizontal slatted screening on top of the existing fence to provide more privacy.

​

The result is a very cool riverside garden which is low maintenance with the choice of materials.
